We’re thrilled to share the journey of "Reflect on Nature," a groundbreaking initiative that brings together art, nature, and our community. Funded by the European Union Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community under the Art for Social Action small grants programme, this project has been a vibrant celebration of the beauty and importance of our marine life.

About Reflect on Nature

"Reflect on Nature" is a multidisciplinary art project created to inspire and educate, especially our younger generations. At its core is a breathtaking outdoor installation piece, designed and created by Christina Zaris, enabling visitors to harmonize with the natural surroundings of our conservation centre. This artwork invites everyone to interact, reflect, and deepen their connection with the wonders of marine life.

Celebrating Our Oceans

Our oceans are full of life, yet they face challenges that demand our attention. Through ‘Reflect on Nature’ we aimed to raise awareness about the fragile ecosystems that thrive in our waters and the urgent need to protect them. By engaging children and their families, we’ve sown the seeds of environmental stewardship that will continue to grow in our community.

A Memorable Event

We recently hosted a special event to welcome this piece, bringing together children and families. The day was filled with an information session, creative workshop and engaging activities that allowed everyone to explore and appreciate the wonders of our marine life. It was a day of discovery, learning, and joy – a true testament to the power of art and nature combined.
